About Us
Evolve Artisanal was founded in 2013, born from a father and daughter’s shared conviction that the right surface can transform how a space feels, and how long it stays with you. What began as a creative partnership between two people who cared deeply about materials, craft, and detail has grown into one of India’s most distinctive surface design studios.
Over a decade later, that founding belief still drives everything we do. We work with liquid metal, patinas, concrete, rust, resin, veneer, clay, wood and more, combining hands-on craftsmanship with continuous material experimentation to create surfaces that are rich, considered, and built to last.
We do not decorate walls. We design surfaces that define spaces.
Evolve Artisanal operates across two distinct disciplines, each with its own approach, its own process, and its own way of transforming a space.
Surface Atelier
Surface Atelier is our bespoke art panel and custom furniture division where every piece begins with your concept and is handcrafted exclusively around your space. From accent walls and designer door skins to ceiling panels and statement furniture, each creation is designed with intent and built to become the defining element of the room it inhabits.
Special Finish
Special Finishes is our on-site application division where our expertise with hand-applied liquid metal, patina, concrete, ombré, and rust coatings is brought directly to your space and executed by our in-house team. The result is a seamless, rich material finish that no prefabricated surface can replicate.
Our Materials
We work with an expansive palette of materials, liquid metal, patinas microcement, rust, resin, wood veneer, clay, and beyond. Each material is sourced, formulated, and tested in our Mumbai workshop, where our team experiments constantly to understand how it behaves, how it ages, and how it can be pushed further.
Every formulation we use is developed in-house. That depth of material knowledge is what allows us to execute with precision, adapt to any substrate or scale, and maintain complete control over quality at every stage of production.
Expertise
We have spent over a decade developing an expertise that sits at the intersection of design innovation, material science, and applied craft. Our team works closely with architects and interior designers from the earliest stages of a project, contributing to not just execution but material thinking, design direction, and honest guidance on what will work best for a given space.
